Why I like being friends with guys :)
- No drama.
- They wouldnt spread my secrets.
- They consider me as a sister.
- They protect me.
- They can intro me to their friends.
- They dont hit on the guys I find hot/cute.
- They are good listeners.
- They give good advice.
- They don’t judge anything i say.
can we stop with the “guys are better than girls” crap?
Right?
Ah, the age old smell of internalized misogyny.
My fellow women/womyn, men are not “less drama”. You have been brought up being told that all women and girls are prone to over reacting, drama, cheating, etc. It’s the patriarchy setting us up against each other. Men have just as many hang ups as women. Some men will spread your secrets. Some men will bring you nothing but drama. Some men won’t protect you. Some men will hit on your friends. Some men give awful advice and some men can’t listen for shit.
The same can be said for some women. Yet, you write off more than half the population because society, media, your peers, all reinforce this idea that women, and only women, are emotional and unstable.
If we can’t stick together then we’re easier to keep down. Stop believing the bullshit. Some people suck and some people don’t. You can’t decide which category a person falls into based solely on their gender, assigned or perceived.
Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke. That’s their natural and first weapon. She will need her sisterhood.
